1.              2005-2006 Registration S1-S4

w               Began today

w               Deadline March 11

w               Counsellors and resource teachers available on Saturday February 26

w               Grade 8 receiving handbooks this week – registration presentations begin

w               Open house March 8 for tours

w               Parent council should consider a table

w               New options in courses. Example: Spanish, Family Studies, Native Studies

w               Compilation of registrations à teaching allotment assignments

w               5 ½ teachers may be reassigned

w               Better idea on the 22 of March

2.              Student discipline summary

w               1st semester 932 enrolment 69 suspensions 348 days 58 students. Includes: assault, drug alcohol, unacceptable conduct (Ex. Harassment). Percent suspended 5.62%. Second semester to date 17 suspensions (3-30 days). One episode of illegal Ritalin present in school re sale Friday.

w               Discussion of dress code à being well received by students. Working with policy.

3.              Friday – divisional in-service

w               Session: connecting schools and community.

w               Literacy – survey to determine literacy issues at senior 1.

w               Develop strategies to assist student

w               March 18 another day to F/U literacy issues.

w               Focus: literacy and mimeracy K-12

w               Suicide prevention

4.              Group meeting girls hockey league at Vincent Massey. Considering for next year.
