Ongoing Announcements for Students & Families
GENERAL ANNOUNCEMENTS
CELL PHONE USE: Cell phones are only permitted for use between the double doors in the foyer and in the cafeteria. This policy is for both students and staff. No photography is allowed in these areas unless it is part of a course and with prior approval from the administration. Staff have been directed to remove the cell phones if students do not comply and turn them into the office. Your cooperation in this matter is important. Check your student handbooks for the BSD Policy regarding acceptable use of cell phones in school and the consequences for non-compliance.
Reminder to staff!! Please place your blue recycling boxes in the hall on Tuesday and Friday mornings!!
St. John's Ambulance will once again run it's Babysitting Course on Saturday, March 20th and Saturday, April 17th. The time for each course will be from 9 am - 4 pm, and is held at our Training & Community Services Centre in the Brandon Shoppers Mall. The course is designed for kids aged 11 to 14, and the cost is $45.00. Pre-registration is reuired. To register, or for more information, please call 727-4466.
Daffodil Days will be happening Tuesday, March 16th and Thursday, March 18th. This will be set up at lunch time in the canteen area and bunches can be purchased for $6.00 or 2 bunches for $10.00!
ECO NEWS - Neelin Black White and Eco-Green
Meetings are each Tuesday at lunch hour in Room 33.
Bring in your old CD & DVD discs to the drop box outside of room 33. They will be re-purposed as Recycling or Crafts
Neelin helped keep 110.9 KG of batteries out of the Brandon land fill last year (See here for the final statistics). This year the recycling continues. Bring all your old batteries and deposit them in the receptacle outside room 33 any weekday. TOTAL TO DATE: 31.1 KG.

DRAMA:
Attention All Creative Students!! Were you interested in being a part of this year’s Major Production, but just haven’t found the right area in which to channel your creative energy? Well, it’s not too late! We are looking for individuals who would like to join the theatrical makeup team. You will be required to attend a workshop presented by a professional makeup artist, as well as commit to the tech rehearsal and all performances. We guarantee that you’ll have a lot of fun and the experience is a great résumé builder.
Interested students are asked to sign up on the info board in front of the Lecture Theatre. Further details to follow.
Mrs. Vera is looking for 6 "responsible" students to join the production stage crew. If you would like to be a part of this team, please see Mrs. Vera in Room 11 asap.

Could all Freshman Boys and JV Boys Basketball Team Members please meet in a the gym at 11:15pm for a brief BUT important meeting.
