Banquet

The banquet following the ceremony will take place at The Royal Oak Inn & Suites.  The banquet will include speeches and toasts by predetermined graduates, staff, and guest speakers.  We will also have a special film presentation created by a group of graduates related to their last year at Neelin.  Upon completion of the speeches, guests will be asked to exit the room to allow for clearing of tables and preparation of the dance floor for “The Grand March”.

Seating capacity at this venue is also limited.  Therefore, in attempt to avoid seating problems for immediate family members and special guests, we wish to reserve a minimum number of seats.  Current projections are based upon 80+ potential graduates and a seating capacity of 470.  Using these numbers as a benchmark, we currently have a maximum quota (per graduate) of 6 tickets to the banquet (including each graduate & escort).  To assist us in making more accurate projections, we ask that you complete the questionnaire (located at the end of this booklet) to the best of your knowledge at this time.  Any surplus of tickets will be divided in a fair and reasonable process with priority given to immediate family.

Banquet tickets will go on sale on June 1 at a cost of $30 eachAll payments are due on or before June 10. The ticket price includes the banquet meal and a small “surcharge” to cover other expenses such as decorations and ticket printing.  The meal is a buffet, which includes honey glazed carrots, oven roast potatoes, beef stir-fry, roast turkey and dressing, dinner rolls and butter, potato salad, coleslaw, tossed garden salad, raw vegetable and dip tray, assorted dainties, coffee and tea, and a full dessert island.

{Note: Quotas will only be enforced if the maximum seating capacity is reached.  Therefore, request as many seats as you wish and we will try to accommodate you.}
