St.
John's-Ravenscourt comes to provincials as the Zone 2 champions.
They had an overall record of 17-8; winning the Shaftsbury
tournament, finishing second in the River City Shoot-Out, third in the St.
James X-Mas Classic, third in the Neelin Invitational Tournament, and
winning the consolation side of the Swan River's Kinsmen tournament
along the way.
They
are lead by Eric Fong, their captain, who has been a starter on the
varsity team since grade 9. 10 of their 13 players are in grade 11.
Despite their youth, they are an experienced group of players many of whom
have played together for the past 6 seasons. They have good size up
front, and look to returning starters Eric Fong, Dror Leibenthal, and
Mathieu Haiart to provide the bulk of their scoring.
The
Eagles want to thank the tournament organizing committee, the City of
Brandon, and the staff and students of Neelin High School for hosting this
year's provincial championships.
