Daily Math The only math homework will be daily math. Daily math will be due every Monday beginning September 21st, 2009. As with spelling, students will have time to work on it in class and should not have much work to finish at home. If students finish and hand in their work early, they may go on to the next week before the previous one is taken up. PLEASE MAKE SURE THAT DAILY MATH COMES TO SCHOOL EVERY MONDAY. EVEN IF YOUR CHILD HAS FINISHED THE UNIT BEING TAKEN UP, THEY WILL HAVE TIME TO CONTINUE THEIR DAILY MATH WORK IN CLASS. |

Dictée Dictée quizzes will on alternate day 1s beginning September 25th. Students will be given several strategies to practice dictée words at home. Strategies include writing out the words in alphabetical or reverse alphabetical order, writing them out longest to shortest, making and using flashcards, spelling them using the American sign language alphabet and tracing the words on each other's backs. No one strategy works for all children, so if you have a different strategy that works for your child, please encourage them to share it in class. |
