| Q | Do you provide workplace safety and health related education in the high schools? |
| A | Yes. All grade 9's in the Brandon School Division receive a presentation on safety and health as part of their Take Our Kids To Work preparation. A similar presentation is repeated in grade 10, either through the science or physical education curriculum, depending on the high school. This is followed by an on line " Challenge for Teens" from the national Passport to Safety website. (passport.safety.com) These presentations are delivered by the SAFE Workers of Tomorrow staff. Safety and health education is also an important component of tohe Vocational/Technical programs as well as many other courses, including Career Development. |
